Turul Head Coach Leads UOIT Women to CIS Bronze Medal

Oshawa Turul SC Head Coach Peyvand  Mossavat led the UOIT women's soccer to a 1-0 victory over the Queen's Gaels in the bronze medal match at the CIS Women’s Soccer Championships to claim both the program and school's first medal at a University Sports national championship.

After the historic season, Coach Peyvand was named OUA East Division Coach of the Year for the second time in the past three seasons. This is the fourth time Coach Peyvand has won the award, previously bringing home the honours in 2014 and 2012 with UOIT and in 2007 while coaching the Ryerson Rams.

  
In October, Coach Peyvand was appointed head coach of team Canada for the 2017 Summer Universiade in Chinese Taipei.
